I've never been in the military, but I was wondering who here I'm playing has had actual combat experience or training.
Who knows that may provide me some insight on who to watch for

Served 5.5 yrs in the NAVY, went to buds training but got married and spent most of the time on the DDG-2 Charles F. Adams (guided missile destroyer). One Indian Ocean cruse, One NATO N.Atlantic cruse, One Verrry long Persian Gulf deployment. We had numerous short excursions to areas considered to be hot spots (Falkland Islands, San Salvador, others I cant name)
I got my Blue Nose, and my Shellback, had lots of good times and saw my share of "conflict".
If I hadn't gotten married the first time, I would probably be retiring in June of next year with 30 yrs in.

Not exactly sure but I believe it was in '81. We were with the Battleship IOWA on the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal. The Salvadorians said they were going to attack us if we came within 100 miles of their coast. We didnt even need to get that close to start bombing them. We sent them a few flares anyway. LOL

No military other than JROTC in 11th grade. My 4 uncles were all in the
military and kept trying to get me to enlist after high school.
2 of the 4 retired military. And looking back now kinda wish I would
have done the same. But currently 39 years old working as a field
maintanence tech for Comcast Cable. I'm on my second marriage
and have two step-boys I wouldn't trade for anything. One of which is currently
in the Army Reserve with two years left, and hoping he doesn't have
go back to Iraq.

Hmm.. enlisted Air Force 1987. Security specialist to ABGD "Defender" to M60 specialist to FBI sniper school. Assigned AF special operations command and joint services command. Time in Desert Shield (minimal) and then the drug wars in the Honduras in the early 90's. Funny thing was we used to have a member named "UDT" who'd helped prep the scene for those little skirmishes before I got there. Small world huh?

When you say prep the scene.... do you mean he went in with a mini
gatlin and cut down the jungle with a blaze of bullet fire? OR did he turn
down your bed covers and put a mint on the pillow?

LOL According to UDT, they did the advanced spook work to establish the firebases we operated out of years later. Now, as for the mints, I was rather pissed off, cuz somebody ate all but one, and that one was stale.

I went thru Ft. McClellan in '85. Fun filled 16 weeks. 6 years reserve, got out '91.
And Rock, no I'm not a cop. Never was, just 20+ years in the school
of hard knocks. I'm a carpenter by trade, played superintendent then
contractor. Now I'm just your friendly neighborhood building inspector.
