�We�ve heard that 60 per cent of Microsoft�s subscribers are principally on Live because of Call of Duty,� Kotick commented. �We don�t really participate financially in that income stream. We would really like to be able to provide much more value to those millions of players playing on Live, but it�s not our network.�

The Blizzard-developed World of WarCraft is presently a major source of subscription-based revenue for the company, so it�s easy to understand why Kotick, an outspoken proponent of subscription-based payment models, is keen to replicate this success with his company�s other franchises. One step toward this goal, he says, will be to �very aggressively� support efforts by Dell and HP to connect PCs to televisions, with the help of �gamer friendly� PCs built for this purpose.

�We have always been platform agnostic,� he continued. �Consoles do a very good job of supporting the gamer. If we are going to broaden our audiences, we are going to need to have other devices.�

Kotick's solution to this is simply to turn to the PC, where it can set its own model for pricing � not unlike what Blizzard has done with World of Warcraft and Battle.net. He added that Activision would "very aggressively" support the likes of HP and Dell in any effort of making an easy 'plug-and-play' PC that would hook up directly to the TV.

Look for other battle reports to see more action

Here's some MP footage posted up today on youtube (it's not that great)- This person is playing as Protoss class against Terran (humans). Player 1 stomps Player 2 who don't even give up a fight.

If you've never played the game you really have to have the ability to manage many different units at one time in addition to managing your base and to be successful. It really can be addicting.

Bad Company 2 Map Pack 5 Coming July 28th

The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ingame store has once again given away info on the upcoming map pack. Map pack #5 is set to be released this Wednesday, July 28th and contains White Pass rush and Nelson Bay conquest. As with the previous map packs, this will be free for players who have entered a VIP code.

No rush on my end as I rarely get to play the game the day it is released anyways. Mine's on order via Amazon -I like hardcopies of games no Steam for me unless last resort. Should have it in a couple days. Will let you know what I think.

OK.... Figured out you have to start a DEDICATED SERVER in the tools section of Steam to enable cheats to run first person.... SO 1 person needs to start a server.

Hit tools
Hit ded server
Hit start server (game)
in game type in console: set_cheats 1

Everyone types in console:

firstperson
asw_hide_marine 1
asw_controls 0

BOOM! First person view...

#1) Yes I will be.

#2) It's not released until tomorrow but yes it should stand up to it predecessor. I don't know of any games that Blizzard has released that have been crap.

RTS = Real Time Strategy. If your into that and haven't heard of this game then you've been in a closet for the last 10 years. It is #1 for all time RTS games as far as I am concerned. Pick up a copy of the original version (Starcraft Battlechest) for cheap 9.99 -mind you the graphics aren't much , give it a whirl and try it first before you decide. The game has as large following much like Diablo 3.
